Celebrating Anna Halprin’s 100th – A Life of Dance

“Few dance artists have been as influential as Anna Halprin. In her nine decades as a dancer, she has redefined the art form, abandoning conventions and embracing the wide open field of creative expression. She has brought the healing power of embodied creativity to people around the world. The Tamalpa Institute and international Tamalpa branches celebrate the life’s work of this amazing woman, our co-founder, who continues to be a source of inspiration, peace, and social transformation.”

Come and join Tamalpa UK in celebrating Anna Halprin with a special event to honour her life’s work at the Siobhan Davies Studios in London. An opportunity to have an embodied experience of her work, to witness how her work is as relevant and vital today as it was 6o years ago, as well as take part in the Planetary Dance, one of Anna’s creations and legacy.

Facilitators for this special event: Tamalpa UK Core faculty Lian Wilson, Audicia Lynne Morley, Helen-Jane Ridgeway and Tamalpa UK special guest teacher Helen Poynor.

Anna Halprin founder the Tamapa Institute with her daughter Daria Halprin in California in 1978. Today the Tamalpa Institute has Tamalpa branches in the UK, France, Germany, South Korea and Latin America.
